HTML clipboardBeware! By Allah the son of Abu Quhafah (Abu Bakr) dressed himself with it (the
caliphate) and he certainly knew that my position in relation to it was the same
as the position of the axis in relation to the hand-mill. The flood water flows
down from me and the bird cannot fly up to me. I put a curtain against the
caliphate and kept myself detached from it.

Then I began to think whether I should assault or endure calmly the
blinding darkness of tribulations wherein the grown up are made feeble and the
young grow old and the true believer acts under strain till he meets Allah (on
his death). I found that endurance thereon was wiser. So I adopted patience
although there was pricking in the eye and suffocation (of mortification) in the
throat. I watched the plundering of my inheritance till the first one went his
way but handed over the Caliphate to Ibn al-Khattab after himself

Day of Wilayah

HTML clipboardIn the year 10AH, the Prophet proceeded on his journey to Mecca to perform
pilgrimage. A pilgrimage which was later to be called the ‘farewell pilgrimage’
(hujjat al-wada’a). Named so because it was the last pilgrimage the Prophet was
to perform before being called to Allah.

As news spread that the Prophet would be performing pilgrimage, many
people came and joined. Some sources put the number that accompanied the Prophet
from Mecca to Madina at 120,000. Although, the total number of pilgrims far
outnumbered that. This count is not surprising since this was the first
pilgrimage since migrating to Madina, so many wanted to join the Prophet and be
a part of the auspicious occasion

HTML clipboardThe sole purpose and policy of ‘some’ people in this life is to tarnish the
image of Ahlul Bait. This is so that they can cover for, and justify the actions

degraded the Holy Progeny, they have even stooped to unbelievable and deplorable
levels in their narrations about the Holy Prophet.
The purified Ahlul Bayt (as) have been chosen by Allah for a special
purpose and path in this world which differs from everyone else. They have
superior knowledge of Allah, and a passion to worship Him. Their only desire in
this world is to make Him known to the people through their teachings and
actions so that He may be obeyed from where He wishes and not from where we as
sinful and fallible people wish

The Morning of Ashura

HTML clipboard
During the night of Ashura the Imam and his companions offered
prayers, sought Divine forgiveness, and made supplications. The
night eventually came to end and the morning of their day of
glory arrived. It has been written by Shaykh Mufid in his book
entitled al-Irshad and by Tabari in his Tarikh that after dawn
prayers the Imam arrayed his companions, out of whom thirty two
were mounted and forty were on foot. He entrusted the command of
the right wing to Zuhayr bin Qayn and that of left wing to Habib
ibn Mazahir and also entrusted the standard to his brother Abbas

Zaynab (S.A.) is like a 'Sun' shining in the Islamic history

HTML clipboard
The name of "Zaynab" is like a "sun" shining in the Islamic history.
What we know about her life and her character is not enough and
there is still more to know. Her auspicious birth was on 5th of
Jamadi-Ul-Aval, in 5 or 6 A.H. She was the daughter of Imam Ali
(A.S) and the Islamic honourable Lady Fatemeh Zahra (S.A). The
Prophet [pbuh] named her "Zaynab" explaining that this name was the
combination of two words "Zayn" and "ab" which meant father’s
adornment, in other words she was like an image of Imam Ali's (A.S)
 character

With the Birth of Abbas, Ali's House was mixed with Grief and Happiness

HTML clipboard
Many years lapsed after painful martyrdom of Prophet's daughter. After
her, Ali (a.s.) had married with Ammame, Prophet's (s.a.w.a.)
granddaughter. With lapse of more than ten years from the heart-rending
event, Ali (a.s.) was still sorrowful for missing Zahra.

The Prophet's household had a strange destiny. Hashemites were
oppressed while they had utmost honor and grandeur. When Ali (a.s.) had
decided to marry, he was aware of Ashura. He called his brother, Aqil,
who was expert in genealogy and know well various tribes and clans, as
well as their moral and spiritual characters and features. He asked him:
Find a qualified spouse for me, from a clan the ancestors of which are
among the brave and lionhearted men, so that such a wife could bring a
courageous and brave son for him

What Is The Philosophy Behind (The Payment) Of Zakaat

HTML clipboard
In view of the fact that Islam did not manifest itself as an
ethical, philosophical or theological doctrine but rather, came forth as a
comprehensive religion that catered to all the material and spiritual needs
of the people, and bearing in mind that Islam, from its very onset during
the time of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), had
always been associated with the establishment of a government, and also,
given that Islam pays special attention to supporting the underprivileged
ones and combating class difference in the society, it becomes obvious that
the role of the public treasury and zakaat, which is one of the sources of
income for it, is one of extreme significance

Saeed bin Jubayr

HTML clipboard
The Beginning

The people in the palace slept. The guards and the soldiers
stayed up. They were walking through the porches. They were
carrying torches, swords and spears. Two guards stood at the
door of a big hall. Al-Hajjaj bin Yousif al-Thaqafy, the Iraqi
ruler, slept in the hall. The guards said to his friends:
I've heard that the prince has become crazy
The other said:
His behaviour shows his madness. He has not slept since he
killed Saeed bin Jubayr. He always wakes and shouts with alarm:
"Why have I killed him?" I heard him saying to Dr. Tyyadok: "I
am always dreaming that I see Saeed bin Jubayr pulling my neck.
I heard him saying: "Allah's enemy, why have you killed me?" The
Prince has killed over one hundred thousand men and women. There
are fifty thousand men and thirty thousand women in his prisons

Janab Fizzah; The Learned Abysinian Housemaid of Hazrat Fatima Zahra A.S

HTML clipboard
The Muslims in the life time of the Holy Prophet (saw ) were brought
up to learn the Holy Quran as Ibadat ( Devotion ), to recite it as
Devotion, to write it down as Devotion, to teach their children and
other people and make them learn it by heart and understand it as
Devotion. They became so learned Abysinian familiar with it that
they used the Verses of the Holy Quran in their daily conversation.
History records that Janab Fizzah, the noble Abysinian housemaid of
Hazrat Fatima Zahra, the Lady of Paradise, the daughter of the Holy
